Women's Philanthropy Dignity Grows co-chairs, Julie Waltzer and Heilla Lain, invite you to join Women's Philanthropy in packing 200 Dignity Grows tote bags that will be distributed to designated organizations around town.
Bring a mat, and start your day off strong with some Pilates with Heilla (a Pilates Instructor) and/or schmoozing from 8:30-9:00 before getting to work assembling tote bags from 9:00-9:30. Tote bags will be distributed to several organizations around town, such as Posada Esperanza, the family shelter of Casa Marianella for immigrant mothers and their children escaping domestic or cultural violence. At the pack, you will learn about Dignity Grows and the organizations that will be receiving the tote bags from this pack.
In partnership with Shalom Austin Jewish Family Service (JFS), Women's Philanthropy is hosting a food drive for the JFS Food Pantry at this event and asking that participants bring rice as a donation to the JFS Food Pantry.
